The City of Hollywood, Florida, opened its second artificial turf field provided by ForeverLawn®. The new soccer pitch is located at Dowdy Field and is surfaced with top-of-the-line SportsGrass® Max™. This artificial turf is known for its high resiliency and responsiveness, as well as the thatch zone that greatly reduces particle flyout. The City of Hollywood wanted an ultra safe field where the community could play mud-free, but they also wanted to move from an Infill Based System (their first field) to a Product Based System to remedy issues of infill flyout and a soft playing surface. This new field has been highly accepted and enjoyed by the community—youth sports organizations are calling daily to use it and now it’s open for public play as well!
