This Navajo Nation Sports Complex consists of three fields—a big league field, a little league field, and a softball field. Each of these three fields are available for community use but are also utilized by the local school systems. Our client chose SportsGrass® because of their history of success working with us, as well as the quality and technological advancements of the products. Because the complex is in a fairly remote location, it was of the utmost importance that the client chose a reliable product that would stay durable and in good condition so that frequent repairs wouldn’t be necessary. The ForeverLawn Southwest team installed nearly 220,000 square feet of SportsGrass Edge XP™ for the three fields.
This product was chosen because it’s perfect for baseball — it is a Product Based System with extremely durable blades, a 1.75” pile height, and a reduced amount of infill. It’s hard to field a ground ball when there’s rubber and sand spraying everywhere, which happens often with Infill Based Systems that are overfilled with infill. SportsGrass Edge XP is a much safer alternative for the community’s baseball and softball players!
